About the event

In Washington state, there are several species of wild mushrooms that contain psilocybin, such as Psilocybe azurescens and cyanescens. However, these mushrooms can be confused with far less safe and even toxic mushrooms.

Luke Towns of Juan de Fuca Fungus is a professional mushroom farmer and experienced forager. As we approach mushroom foraging season, Luke is offering this workshop on how to identify common species of entheogenic mushrooms and distinguish them from other, non-edible species.

This workshop is intended to foster safety, responsibility, and awareness within our community regarding locally harvested entheogenic mushrooms and to provide education to our community as a form of harm reduction.
